The project to set up the Traffic Management and Information System Version 2 (VMIS2) control center includes area-wide traffic control (about 800km) and operation of all tunnel facilities for Austria's trunk roads in the total network of 2183km.

Heusch/Boesefeldt created various software components for the further development of the central system of the Hessian traffic management. They are essentially used for communication with the devices on the road for cyclical data retrieval from the approximately 4,000 sensors as well as for switching the connected displays.

In the research project KoMoDnext (Automated Driving in the Digital Test Field Düsseldorf), Heusch/Boesefeldt is building and integrating a cooperative sub-center for the traffic control system on the A 57 on behalf of the project partner Straßen.NRW (now: Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes).

Heusch/Boesefeldt's main customers are public administrations as the largest investors in the transport sector: Cities and municipalities, federal and state ministries as well as state road administrations and their subordinate departments.
