C2VBA data base Bavaria

Heusch/Boesefeldt operates a strategy server for Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, South Bavaria branch, which transmits traffic data to the Mobilithek platform (https://mobilithek.info/). The system was set up as a demonstrator and gradually expanded so that now traffic data, current setting status and strategic route recommendations from all over Bavaria are  transmitted to Mobilithek. Data from northern Bavaria is received via the Heusch/Boesefeldt platform and merged with publications from southern Bavaria. The published data can be accessed by third parties from Mobilithek and used for automated and connected driving applications.

To determine the strategic routes, the current setting status of the variable message signs (VMS) in southern Bavaria are retrieved and used to determine the strategic route recommendation of the network control system (NBA). The route recommendations are converted to DATEX II and merged with the route recommendations from northern Bavaria to generate a publication covering the whole of Bavaria.

In addition to route recommendations, the current setting status of traffic control systems (SBA), measured traffic data (FG1 data), and environmental data (FG3 data) are also transmitted to the Mobilithek. For these publications, too, the data from northern Bavaria is provided in DATEX II format, combined with the publications created from southern Bavaria, and transferred to Mobilithek. There, the information can be accessed and used by third parties such as service providers and other users. This makes the strategy server an important source of information for cooperative applications.
