TRAFFIC INFORMATION

By informing road users quickly, we give them a good basis for decision-making and thus reduce the likelihood of traffic congestion and accidents. In addition, information helps reduce annoyance and panic during traffic congestion and accidents.

Traffic information as a service provided by the road operator pays off twice. Informed road users are more satisfied customers and think along with them at the same time: They avoid traffic congestion and help prevent accidents.

Our systems support you in all tasks of information acquisition, maintenance and dissemination.

The traffic editing function manages and maintains all traffic information in the system. The graphical user interface allows manual input and editing of information and supports the consolidation of the information stock (linking, status tracking, and more).

In addition to manual entry, other options are available for information retrieval. By linking to other traffic centers, information can be automatically transferred from adjacent network areas or from other modes of transport. Standardized interfaces are used for this purpose (ALERT-C, DATEX II, TPEG, and more).

Appropriate modules are available for the automatic derivation of traffic information from traffic data, in particular also of forecasts (pre-trip). These can be used if online traffic data are available.

Finally, information dissemination can be done in different ways. The basic method is the automatic forwarding of traffic reports to broadcasters. The dissemination to service providers, who use their own ways of dissemination, for example via navigation systems or the Internet, is in turn carried out via standardized interfaces.
