Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.
(Confucius)

In September 2008 Dipl.-Ing. Christoph Schwietering joined our Heusch/Boesefeldt team as a traffic engineer.

A graduate of the RWTH Aachen, where he studied civil engineering with emphasis on traffic engineering, Mr. Schwietering is already familiar with our company from the time that he worked with the ASFINAG in Austria. After having finished his education in Aachen, he worked there for four years as head of traffic engineering and operations at the Austrian traffic management and traffic information system – VMIS. The development of the VMIS centre core system was carried out by Heusch/Boesefeldt in co-operation with the Siemens AG Austria.

Mr. Schwietering adds to our traffic engineering know-how especially through his experience in the operation of an all-embracing traffic management centre. The improvement of Traffic Centre operations will be yet another component of our considerable portfolio.

The application of traffic models, which has been an integral part of our systems for a long time now, will also be supervised by him. At this point we would like to refer to the newsletter "Current congestion and loss time information in Hessen – H/B integrates ASDA/FOTO into the traffic centre Hessen (VZH)".

Apart from the above mentioned topics Mr. Schwietering will support us in our research activities. He is chairing, for instance, the workshop on control systems (Steuerungsverfahren AK 3.2.7) of the FGSV (Forschungsgesellschaft für Straßen- und Verkehrswesen – German Road and Transportation Research Association).

We are looking forward to our co-operation and wish Mr. Schwietering all the best for his new start in his old home.
