simTD – Safe and Intelligent Mobility Test Field Germany
Project completed successfully

After completing the field trial in December 2012 and the subsequent evaluation of the data the results and systems of the project simTD – Safe and Intelligent Mobility Test Field Germany – were presented to the public in the Portalhaus of the Frankfurt Fair on June 20th 2013.

The bottom line of the event was:  "The simTD system makes driving more efficient, economic and safer. The car-to-x technology is ready to be introduced to the market".
On behalf of Hessen Mobil Heusch/Boesefeldt has developed the co-operative trial centre as a component of the simTD infrastructure and supervised its operation during the project.
By realising a concept of a service-oriented architecture (SOA) the trial centre was implemented by using an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), it supports all current, relevant standards and processes data from the TCC Hessen, the IGLZ Frankfurt and the vehicles connected via C2X communication. Through the content-related integration of existing traffic management systems with the data of the over 100 vehicles of the trial fleet the first and currently largest co-operative traffic centre has been put into operation.
The presentation of the system at the booth of Hessen Mobil at the closing event was supported by staff members of Heusch/Boesefeldt.
