Information

Traffic information as a service of the road operator pays off twice. Well informed road users are satisfied customers, and they take their own decisions: they avoid congestion and help preventing accidents.
Our systems offer support for all tasks in information acquisition, editing and dissemination.

The editorial function is used for management and revision of all traffic information in the system. The graphical user interface allows manual input and editing of information and supports consolidation of the information repository (information combination, state tracking, etc.).

Apart from manual input there are other means for information acquisition.
Connections to other traffic centres allow for automatic integration of information from neighbouring countries or from other traffic modes. Standardised interfaces are used for this task (ALERT-C, DATEX II, TPEG etc.).
Specific modules may be supplied for automatic elaboration of traffic information from traffic data, in particular predictions (pre-trip). These modules can be used wherever appropriate online traffic data is available.

Information dissemination can be achieved by several means. Dissemination of traffic messages for radio broadcasting is fundamental. Distribution to service providers, who then use their own ways for dissemination, is again done using standardised interfaces.
For presentation of traffic information on the Internet we offer dedicated products, like our product TrafficMap as "mashup" based on GoogleMaps or a Web Map Service / Web Feature Service (WMS / WFS, according to OGC standard).
